The Association launched the "China garment intelligent manufacturing technology innovation strategy alliance" which was jointly established by several industry related associations, research institutes and leading enterprises. It was formally established in Beijing on 9 July, and 24 units became the first alliance members.

"Alliance" will integrate the research and development of generic technology in the field of clothing intelligent manufacturing, promote collaborative innovation of large and medium enterprises, and accelerate the industrialization application of innovation results.

At present, China's garment industry is at a critical stage in the development of power and pformation and upgrading.

The theme of the pformation and upgrading of the current round of development is "speeding up structural adjustment and changing the mode of growth", and realizing the strategic pformation of China from a large garment nation to a powerful garment country. Its core lies in the "scale effect" development to "value development", from "factor driven" to "innovation driven".

The realization of this pformation depends on intelligent manufacturing.

Gao Yanmin, director of the consumer goods industry department of the Ministry of industry and information technology, attended the founding meeting of the alliance.

He said that the Chinese garment industry, which is on the same track with the developed countries in the world, is integrating the existing technology resources and R & D strength, and establishing an industrial integration and innovation platform. It is particularly important to layout the new generation technology and the future market ahead of time.

Gao Yanmin believes that the establishment of "alliance" means that China's apparel industry has taken the lead in intelligent manufacturing.

This year is the opening year of 13th Five-Year, and there is still a long way to go in the development of automation and intellectualization. "Alliance" members should take the assets or capital as the link to make the alliance truly effective, and jointly promote the intelligent development of the garment industry.

According to the introduction, the "alliance" will build up an innovative platform for cross border integration and open cooperation. On the one hand, it will integrate resources into small and scattered innovation in the industry. On the other hand, we should speed up the research and pformation of common technology that has great impact on the industry, and realize the equipment, production process, manufacturing mode, management decision and product intellectualization.

"The alliance should focus on demand oriented, problem oriented, system planning and integration and innovation work, and create three platforms: information resources platform, research and development platform and achievements promotion platform, to achieve information gathering, tackling key technical difficulties, promoting scientific and technological innovation, optimizing the allocation of industrial resources, and increasing the popularization and application of new technologies."
