New Regulation Standard: Interpretation Of 7 National Standards In Textile Industry

China is a big country in textile industry, and the construction of the standard system of textile industry has achieved initial success. The national textile Standardization Technical Committee (TC 209), established in 1994, now has 1149 textile standards, including 523 national standards and 626 textile industry standards. It covers textile fibers, yarns, fabrics and products, covering three major fields of use, household and industrial use. The standard quantity and distribution basically meet the development needs of the industry.

Recently, the national standard team of China's textile industry has added "recruits", and has issued 7 national standards. "The national standard of this centralized release contains 6 basic method standards and 1 product standards." Liu Feifei, Deputy Secretary General of the national textile Standardization Technical Committee, explained that the national standard "textile 1, 2- two chloroethane, chloroethanol and chloroacetic acid" (GB/T 37633) is the standard for testing harmful substances. The method established in this standard is applicable to the qualitative and quantitative detection of 1, 2- two chloroethane and its degradation products, namely chloroethanol and chloroacetic acid in textiles. It fills the blank of domestic testing technology in this project, and provides necessary technical support for improving the quality of textile products, protecting people's health, avoiding trade barriers and strengthening the quality monitoring of textile ecological safety.

The national standard "color fastness test for textiles fastness to saliva" (GB/T 18886) is a strong matching inspection method and consumer's attention standard. In order to accurately simulate the conditions of textiles in actual use, this revision has adjusted the composition of artificial saliva, and increased the requirement for pH value of artificial saliva. At the same time, it has further improved the operability and comparability of the results, which has played a certain role in improving the quality of textile products, especially the quality of infant clothing.

National standard "textile quantitative chemical analysis mixture of acetate fiber or three acetate fiber with some other fibers (hydrochloric acid)" (GB/T 37630) and "textile quantitative chemical analysis of polyacrylonitrile fibers and certain other fibers (formic acid / zinc chloride)" (GB/T 37629) is the standard for new fiber quantitative chemical analysis. The two standard is a simple and maneuverable Standard Test Method Based on the dissolution characteristics of new fibers in different solvents and the characteristics of different solvents, as well as the accumulation of practical inspection cycle and practical experience, especially in improving experimental efficiency and reducing the use of toxic and harmful chemical reagents. These two standards provide a unified qualitative and quantitative method for the industry, which plays an important role in supervising the virtual label, the wrong content behavior, standardizing the market order, and protecting the rights and interests of downstream customers and consumers.

National standard "evaluation of moisture absorption and dryness of textiles second part: dynamic moisture transfer method" (GB/T 21655.2) is the standard of textile functional testing. Moisture absorption and quick drying functional textiles are widely used in sportswear, mountaineering clothes, casual wear, underwear and so on because of their moisture absorption and rapid moisture permeability. The dynamic moisture transfer method is a commonly used method in the series of standards for testing and evaluating moisture absorption and quick drying functional textiles. Combined with the current development of product market, the standard has revised some assessment indicators, increased the marking requirements, unified the method of functional labeling, and further improved the requirements of instrument and equipment. The implementation of the standard provides a scientific basis for market supervision departments to supervise spot checks, and helps to create a good market competition atmosphere and protect consumers' rights and interests.

The national standard "test method for the appearance of textile elastic ribbon fatigue resistance" (GB/T 37635) is a standard for consumer experience requirements. Elastic tapes are widely used in textile, clothing and home textiles. After repeated wearing or using, some elastic ribbons will weaken or disappear, and even the internal elastic fibers will break, which will seriously affect the appearance and performance of clothing. The formulation of the standard has made up for the lack of standards in the field, and can effectively characterize the fatigue resistance of the ribbon, and meet the needs of the elastic ribbon manufacturers and enterprises in various fields.

The national standard "knitted sportswear" (GB/T 22853-2019) is applied to identify the quality of sportswear made of knitted fabrics. This amendment fully takes into account the user's requirements for convenience and comfort in wearing clothes, and makes targeted modifications and complements to the old standards to make them more in line with the market demand for knitted sportswear at present. For instance, the pilling performance, bursting strength, the washing rate and the color fastness index are strictly enforced, and the requirements for moisture absorption and quick drying performance and appearance requirements are also increased. The requirements for surface defects, dimensional deviation and sewing quality are adjusted. The release of the new standard will provide more precise and specific guidelines for manufacturers and testing departments to provide consumers with safer and more comfortable knitted sportswear products, while helping to guide product innovation and production.
