According to the cotton inspection data of China Fiber Inspection Bureau as at October 21st, this year

Most of the producing areas were affected by the continuous high temperature and dry climate in July. The cotton quality was coarse and short. The quality of the public inspection results reflected that the micronan value was high and the length value was low. Other quality inspection indexes also decreased to a certain extent than that of the same period last year, and the spinnability of cotton decreased.

Statistics show that as of October 21st, there were 122 households.

1010 inspectors conducted the inspection of warehousing weight in 39 warehouses in Xinjiang, and accumulated 21355 batches of cotton, 909 thousand tons (513 thousand tons of autonomous region and 396 thousand tons of corps). At the same time, 5 textile inspection institutions in Xinjiang completed the 119 batch of notarization test of cotton for self owned cotton enterprises, totaling 5064 tons, involving 13 enterprises of textile enterprises and 20 cotton processing enterprises; and the subsequent completion of certified public inspection (quality inspection) totaled 13 tons (autonomous regions, tons of tanks and tons of corps).

25 millimeter, 26 millimeter, 27 millimeter respectively occupy 0.4%, 9.3%, 42.1%.

From the picking way, the average length of hand picking cotton is 27.4mm and the average length of machine picked cotton is 27.6mm.

In terms of processing mode, the average length of sawtooth cotton is 27.5mm and the average length of roller cotton is 28.4mm.

The ratio of micron value to A+B level was 33.5%, while that of C2 was 66.5%, which was 37.2 percentage points higher than that of the same year.

The above two indicators in recent years have increased trend compared with the beginning of the year, but the overall situation is still not ideal. The average length in the first half of October was 27.5mm, which increased by 0.4mm compared with the second half of 9 months. The C2 value of the micron value was 65.2%, which was 20 percentage points lower than that in the latter half of 9 months.

Other quality inspection indicators, color grade white cotton 1 to 3 accounted for 96.3%, a decrease of 1.7 percentage points over the same period last year. The average breaking strength 28.1cN/tex decreased by 0.6cN/tex compared with that of the same period last year; the average length uniformity index was 82.7%, down 0.7 percentage points compared with that of the same period last year; the quality of rolling mill P1 (good) was 12.4%, P2 (middle) accounted for 84.9%, and P3 (2.4%) accounted for 2.4%, of which the proportion of intermediate and above was basically the same as that of the same period last year.
