60 Years Development Road Of Xinjiang Textile And Garment Industry

In 1951,

The first modern textile enterprise, Xinjiang 71 cotton textile mill, began building in 1955, with only 15 thousand spindles and more than 600 looms.

In 1978, the scale of cotton spinning reached 240 thousand spindles, the output of cotton yarn was 28 thousand tons, the cotton loom was 6284, and the cotton cloth output was 150 million meters.

In 2014, there were 200 thousand employees in the textile and garment industry, an increase of 30% over that in 2009, and an increase in industrial added value of 4 billion 139 million yuan in the textile industry above the scale, an increase of 25.4% over 2009; the production of cotton yarn 401 thousand and 200 tons, an increase of 10.3% over 2009; 21 million 488 thousand and 700 garments, an increase of 35.06% over 2009.

After 60 years of development, we have formed a more complete industrial system dominated by cotton textile and chemical fiber, wool textile, linen, knitted apparel and so on. It has become the leading industry and livelihood industry for the pformation of advantageous resources.

At present,

The scale has reached 6 million ingots, 2 million more than in 2009, and has formed five major industrial agglomeration areas, namely, Urumqi, Changji, Shihezi Kuitun, Korla, Yuli, Akesu Al and Kashi.

On this basis, the industrial cluster development pattern of "three cities and seven gardens" was initially formed.

There are more than 30 carpet enterprises in the whole Xinjiang region, and 3000 households in the Hotan and Kashi area have family and workshop weaving and carpet processing, showing a good momentum of cluster development.

Nowadays,

The level of technology and equipment and product quality have reached the leading level in China.

Among the leading industries, the proportion of key equipment such as blowing carding unit, comber, automatic winding machine, shuttleless loom and so on has reached 62%, which is higher than the national average level.

The average amount of gauze is 38, which is 6 higher than that of the national average.

In particular, the highly developed high value-added compact spinning line and high count Siro spun yarn have reached the leading level in China, and the national standard has been established.

The "Tiancai" brand colored cotton yarn produced by China coloured cotton (Group) Co., Ltd., Tianshan brand sweater produced by Xinjiang Tianshan Wool Textile Co., Ltd., and "Yida cotton" combed cotton yarn produced by Xinjiang Yida Textile Co., Ltd. has been awarded the title of "China famous brand" for many times, enjoying good reputation both at home and abroad.
