Interview With Fashion Designer Lv Yue

Reporter: the modern and contemporary fashion pattern in Europe and America can be said to be the surging surge of designer brand. Will China's fashion start the same steps after its start?

This is indeed a necessary step, because measuring the level of a country's fashion brand depends on its artistic standard. "Artistry" is a standard of the industry level, so the designer's creative design is very important.

Only when designers grow up and mature, can a better fashion pattern be formed and have a certain height.

No designer's brand is not a mature brand, and can not make cultural contributions. "Cultural contribution" is the designer's brand, because it originates from the designer. He must be a soul and thoughtful person. This is the core.

Reporter: in your opinion, why can Japanese fashion designers such as Yamamoto Teruji and Wakubo Rei enter the center of the world's fashion design discourse? Is China's design power rising? Is there anything worth learning from?

Lv Yue: Japan

Culture has made a great contribution to the fashion trend of the world. After learning the two great changes of Tang Wenhua and Meiji Restoration in China, Japan found its own culture, so that it can be seen by the world today.

Yamamoto Teruji and Wakubo Rei are not only seen as fashion designers, but also as animated masters, architects, musicians, etc.

They formed the whole state of "a group of people", showing their achievements to the world as the core of their culture.

So the works of Japanese designers are cold, weird or Zen. They are only part of the current Japanese culture.

The success of "a group of people" has become the possibility of going to the world.

Reporter: there are more and more independent designers in China. What do you think of the originality and surprise?

Lv Yue: I think originality and surprise itself are not the key points to be discussed. The point is whether Chinese designers have made any new contributions to world culture. What is their contribution? This contribution is integral and not limited to fashion designers.

Artistic level determines the height of the industry.

Reporter: good fashion is artistic, but fashion is not art after all. What do you think of fashion designers' pursuit of art?

Lv Yue: good fashion and art are inseparable.

I am presiding the Fashion Art (Fashion Art) exhibition, naming the Fashion as an attribute to modify Art, fashion art is a branch of art.

The market positioning of clothing can be likened to a Pyramid. The more we go to the top of Pyramid, the more we pay attention to the spirit. The more we go downwards, the more we pay attention to material, that is, practicality.

The bottom is for the masses, the top triangle is the top brand, and the top is the fashion art.

The top designers must be double identities: both artists and artists who are creative designers for the market.

Art is the highest original. If a designer does not find his own things, he will not be original. Only the top designers can achieve the unity of the two.

At the same time, the height of the vertices determines the size of the base of the triangle.

Because the higher the vertex and the higher artistry of design, the greater the bottom will mean the larger scale of the industry, the space of increasing the price, the value space and the living space. Similarly, the bigger the bottom, the better the Pyramid point will be, and realize the promotion of value and price.

Louis Weedon, for example, has a 50 fold increase in the price, and in our country, because of the lack of creativity, the rise of the top of Pyramid, and the small capacity of the whole market, a brand that can reach 12 times the rate of lifting is good.

Generally speaking, the level of art in the industry determines the height of the whole industry. If the industry is to be good as a whole, then the arts must be higher.

Reporter: Nowadays many stars design fashion, and designers from other industries cross the border to design fashion. What do you think of "everyone is a designer"?

Lv Yue: this involves the control of the "molding" process. This kind of control does not mean whether the designer himself has studied costume design and whether he knows how to tailor, but whether he knows the process from the beginning to the completion of the garment making process, and whether he can control the nodes that need to be grasped.

So to some extent, it is not the key to a good fashion designer to draw sketches. As long as you have control over the "shaping" and can finally put your ideas on the ready-made clothes, you can be regarded as a good fashion designer.
