Fashion Designer'S Paper Games

2011/8/8 13:37:00 176

From the 1982 Lssey Miyake and paper fashion series to the unexpected Tao COMME DES GARCONS paper dress in the spring and summer fashion week of Paris in 2007, from the sturdy paper travel box to the exquisite disposable paper T-shirt, the fluttering paper fashion always makes the fashion circle amazing.

And paper complex, academic experimentation, abandonment dressing attitude, and paper brings endless inspiration to fashion designers.

In the spring and summer fashion show in Paris in 2007, Wakubo Rei's love Tao Kurihara used two dreamy paper art skirts to squeeze out a mini show. Due to the narrow space, many fashion circles had to take the rain out of the window to see the whole show.

The shy young designer, Tao COMME DES GARCONS, launched a white and sweet series of "shirts and wedding dresses" this season. At the end of the show, two models came on stage wearing long ankle and high bunches of cake dresses, which were two huge paper crafts. Countless bow, pleats and fringes on the skirts were all made by scissors paste.

The floral fashion of paper has not yet become the trend of the season, but it has never been absent from the great show.

The leading figure is Lssey Miyake, the veteran Lssey Miyake of the fabric game. In the spring and summer series designed by its young leader Naoki Takizawa, there is a style of solid camel buckle knitted jacket. It looks as if it is light and convenient. It is actually made from "paper" (traditional Japanese paper) and YISHION hand knitted.

It sweats the heavy impression of the knitted coat, but in fact, it is more suitable for Mongolia in the early autumn.

For fashion designers, paper and cloth are naturally interdependent as needle and thread.

Design manuscripts and cutlads or turn waste paper balls into the ground or onto T and shop windows.

Any Chinese dress was first born on paper step by step.

This theory can, of course, be applied to most creative work. However, it is difficult for architects to build a house with paper. Fashion designers can play the paper as a fresh fabric. First let models wear paper fashions on T to frighten the whole audience, and then sell them in a boutique shop with a proud attitude, or disappear.

Paper complex

Japan has bred a large number of designers keen on paper fashion.

A long history of academic fashion magazine "loaded court" has taught readers how to make white paper into exquisite Chanel camellia, and even at the end of the book is a thick cardboard that depict the dotted pattern.

This traditional aesthetic complex is handed down from generation to generation in Japanese fashion circles.

Lssey Miyake is probably the initiator of paper fashion.

As early as 1982, he published a "Bodywork" and paper fashion series on the mainland.

Two years later, he looked at the oil paper with good waterproof properties and displayed some oil paper overcoat at the personal equipment exhibition.

Also good at using fabrics to make patterns, as well as traveller and designer Minagawa Aki, who led the Nordic maiden fashion brand Mina perhonen, launched a tough and durable paper skirt in autumn and winter 2005, which is both crisp and rich in fabric texture.

Katsura Yumi, the wedding dress master, has been concentrating on research and paper. In 2002, she released a gorgeous and paper dress series. The avant-garde brand COSMIC WONDER also wore models of all white paper clothing at the spring and summer conference in 2004, and when they sold them, they were stitched on a layer of cotton lining to make them more durable.

In this season, you can buy a fashionable sexy V collar silk knitted dress in the department store even if you spend more than 10000 yen. It comes from the "goddess of the desert" series in the spring and summer of Cocoon2007, the Japanese popular brand. The elastic and close flashing fabric is made of paper, nylon and rayon.

European school paper clothing experiment

In fashion colleges, most of the courses are made out of materials other than cloth. The London Saint Martin Institute of art and design is no exception.

In 1994, Hussein Chalayan, who just graduated from Saint Martin, began to fashion fashion as an eccentric designer career in an air letter series.

He made a non-woven paper used in the Fedex express envelope and made it into a suit suit and a dress.

Western-style clothes are wrapped in red envelopes with red envelopes, and the dress can be folded into a large envelope.

Like Hussein Chalayan, the three Japanese designers of the emerging brand Mintdesign also graduated from Saint Martin college, and first served as assistant for Alexander McQueen after graduation.

During their schooling, they liked collecting antique buttons. When the three decided to create their own brands, they decided to try a "business card button" - making buttons with paper and printing the brand names on the reverse side.

After repeated washing, this paper button will wear out the natural wear and tear of cortices or twill.

According to the season, the thickness and color of paper buttons introduced by Mintdesign will also change.

Martin Margiela has brought this college rich paper fashion experiment to the extreme.

At the Maison Martin Margiela autumn and Winter Conference in 1997, the model with mushroom heads directly put the semi finished products in the studio of the designer directly onto the T stage - a left beige dress with a beige sleeveless dress is cloth, and the right half is entirely white, with a size mark on it, a line hanging and a large crochet.

The instant and eternity of paper fashion

COSMIC WONDER brings paper fashion and crystal together, leading to a mysterious theme of "eternity and non permanence".

In the fashion week of St Paul in 2004, Jun Nakao, a Japanese designer from Brazil, made his whole dress series with 500 kilograms of paper.

At the end of the show, the models tore up their costumes and tossed the paper to the staggering audience.

"What is important is not what we create, but the beauty of passion and connotation in that process."

The designer himself explains so much about the instant fashion show.

BLESS, the creative life brand, has launched the paper "disposable T-shirt".

In the eyes of the two designers of BLESS, fashionable clothes are as fragile as paper in the era of increasingly shortened fashion consumption, and "throwing away several times" becomes a fashionable attitude towards life itself.

The inspiration of Lssey Miyake's "love village" is very humanistic and pragmatic. He cooperated with the famous Paper Co Zhu tawei, and launched a series of simple and tailored paper clothing and paper shorts. They are not fashions, but adult diapers.

"People's first and last time are unavoidable to deal with diapers.

But at the end of life, everyone wants to maintain a little dignity and dignity.

He said.

Only the British traveler Globe Trotter believes that paper can also be durable.

This old brand YISHION, founded in 1879, is famous for its hand-made advanced travel paper box.

Of course, they do not use ordinary paper, but the patent material Vulcan Fibre made of 20 multi-layer hard cardboard. It is durable and waterproof, and is lighter than the trunk.

As a carton, it sells at a high price. The smallest 9 inch BOX sells for about 2500 yuan, and the largest 33 inch box is more than 7000 yuan.

For more than 100 years, the British royal and air force pilots and adventurers loved this carton.

In 1954, Queen Elizabeth made a special GLOBE TROTTER suitcase for her wedding tour. Now this box is displayed in Buckingham Palace.

Because pure handmade production is limited, so if you want to buy it, you have to run to London, New York or Tokyo.

Who would have thought that making the paper fashionable?
