The World Shoe Capital Headquarters Has Officially Started.

The project of 16 billion 700 million of the investment is listed as the leading project of Guangdong's industrial pformation and upgrading, and the key construction project of Dongguan in 2011. After completion, it will become a public welfare service platform, which integrates high-end research and development design, trade logistics, brand display, order purchase, brand incubation and information consultation, so as to realize the leap from manufacturing to creation of Dongguan footwear industry.

According to statistics, Dongguan has more than 1500 shoe enterprises, more than 2000 supporting enterprises, more than 1500 related traders and purchasers. It is one of the important distributing centers of China's finished products such as shoes, shoes, shoes and other related products. It is also the largest shoe manufacturing base in the world, and around 60% of the world's high-end shoes or shoes are from Dongguan.

However, the footwear industry in Dongguan has long been dominated by OEM and lacks independent brands. According to the survey, more than 6 of Dongguan's shoe enterprises do not have registered brands or registered brands are not functioning, of which 48% are unregistered brands, while 13% are registered brands.

An important reason to hinder the creation of independent brands is that Dongguan shoe enterprises are accustomed to mass production of standardized production lines because of long-term orders from foreign trade orders. Many shoe owners are reluctant to choose to invest most of their capital and manpower in domestic R & D and brand building.

However, with the rising domestic labor costs, the continued appreciation of the renminbi and the outward pfer of industries, the traditional format of "world shoe capital" has not adapted to the needs of development, and the pformation and upgrading of the industry is imminent.
