According to relevant sources, the Ministry of industry and Commerce will also announce about 30 national standards related to footwear this month.
"Before the approval of the above standards is issued, the public opinion is being announced for further listening to the opinions of all sectors of society. The deadline for public notice is September 29, 2010."

Chengdu is a big shoemaking market, and there are many OEM enterprises in Italy, which account for about 35% of the export volume of Chinese women's shoes.
Because of the low standards before, it has encountered trade barriers in several countries such as Italy, Germany and Argentina. Relevant people said that the implementation of the new standards will prompt enterprises to accelerate technological upgrading, contribute to a wider range of participation in world competition and benefit the overall development of Chengdu shoe enterprises.
