Quality testing

The Department checked the clothes for inspection, and detected that some clothing enterprises contained some carcinogenic substances, and the quality of the products was not qualified. They fell into the embarrassing situation of "clothing carcinogenic door".

Exploring the truth of carcinogens and controlling and resolving carcinogens has become a top priority for garment enterprises at home and abroad.

In response to this problem, interviewed Meng Lingxiu, deputy director of the national clothing quality supervision and Inspection Center (Tianjin).

The national standard and residual reason of substances were analyzed professionally.

Carcinogen: the true face of invisible killer

Meng Lingxiu said formaldehyde, pH value and decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine.

dyestuff

It is the three most easily detected carcinogen.

They are becoming invisible killer of human body through clothing close to human body. What is the true face of this invisible killer and how many destructive powers are there?

Formaldehyde: formaldehyde gives textiles shrink proof, anti wrinkle, iron free and easy to decontamination functions.

But it produces strong stimulation on the respiratory tract and skin of the human body, triggering airway inflammation and dermatitis.

In addition, the skin is also an initiator of many allergies.

The laws and standards of various countries strictly limit the formaldehyde content of products.

PH value: the surface of the human body is slightly acidic to ensure the balance of the permanent bacteria and prevent the invasion of pathogenic bacteria. Therefore, the P H value of the textiles is beneficial to the protection of the human body between slight acid and neutral.

In addition, if the textile is in strong acidic or alkaline conditions, it will not only be easy to damage, but also irritate the skin.

Degradable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes: azo dyes are the most widely used synthetic dyes for textile and clothing in printing and dyeing processes. They are used for dyeing and printing of many natural and synthetic fibers, and also for coloring paints, plastics, rubber and so on.

Under special conditions, it can decompose more than 20 kinds of carcinogenic aromatic amines, which can change the DNA structure of human body and induce cancer through activation.

Most of the unsafe clothing is brightly coloured with rich printed patterns on the chest. Carcinogenic aromatic amines exist in these colourful clothing dyestuffs. The dye is colorless and tasteless, and the instrument can not be identified or washed away.

When consumers purchase natural fibers such as cotton and linen, try to choose colors that are similar to natural fiber colors (such as cream and light camel).

To buy brightly coloured clothes, especially red and purplish purple, try to choose the clothes with the mandatory standard of GB18401-2003 national textiles.
