High Shrinkage Tow Fills The Gap In China.
Recently, Qilu Petrochemical polyacrylonitrile plant has successfully developed high shrinkage tow. After tow spinning, the tow can produce high shrinkage bulky top with a shrinkage of more than 22%. This has filled the blank of dry acrylic fiber in China.
In view of the severe situation in the acrylic fiber market, the Qilu Petrochemical Acrylic Fiber Plant has made full market analysis and investigation since adjusting its product structure and meeting the needs of post spinning users. After investigation, the factory found a high demand for high shrinkage tow for knitting yarn, and the products currently used by users are all wet spun acrylic fiber production process. The high shrinkage tow is still a blank in the domestic dry acrylic fiber industry. Therefore, the plant quality improvement and new variety development team immediately embarked on the trial production of high shrinkage tow.
The yield of wool produced by conventional tow products is generally only about 20%. To produce a top of 22%, it is not only necessary to strictly control the technological parameters, but also put forward higher requirements for the equipment condition. For this reason, the factory's quality improvement and new product development group draw on the original production experience, combined with the current production characteristics, have formulated a detailed production plan for high shrinkage tow, and organized the technical personnel of the relevant workshop such as pre spinning, post spinning, wool and other related workshops, discussed the plan, finely adjusted the process control parameters, and determined the key control points, so as to make full preparations for the trial spinning.
In late July, the factory made trial production of high shrinkage tow on 3 spinning threads, and the production process was smooth. In the first ten days of August, the first batch of high shrinkage tow was tested in the wool top workshop of the factory. After testing, the shrinkage rate of the top is 24.2%, and the shrinkage is uniform and the product quality is stable. Due to the small amount of steam used in the production process, the production cost of the product is also reduced compared with conventional products.
