Industrial Cluster: Bangladesh'S Garment Exports To Non-Traditional Markets Declined Slightly

The People'S Republic Of Bangladesh

The Financial Express reported on December 29 that Bangladesh's clothing exports to traditional markets such as the European Union and the United States continued to grow in the 2024-25 fiscal year, while its clothing exports to non-traditional markets outside the United States and the European Union declined slightly, mainly because of payment problems with Russia and reduced demand from China, but its exports to markets such as India, Mexico and Brazil increased. Experts believe that as Bangladesh graduates from the least developed countries, high tariffs will become a challenge, and the market export advantage should be maintained through the signing of bilateral free trade agreements.
