Xingzhili Children'S Clothing: Exports Cover 153 Countries And Regions

On June 1, the third China (Wuxing Zhili) Children's Wear Fashion Week opened in Zhili Town, Wuxing District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and the first China Children's Wear Global Sourcing Fair was officially launched.

As the "Children's Wear City of China", the export situation of Zhili children's wear has been encouraging since 2023. From January to May, the total export volume is expected to be 8.637 billion yuan, up 143.57% year on year, of which 800 million yuan is for children's wear. At present, more than 30 cross-border e-commerce matchmaking meetings have been held in Zhili, and the centralized purchase cooperation has been finalized with Xinci, a leading buyer in the Middle East. On average, two containers depart from Zhili every day to the Middle East.

It is reported that this year's Children's Fashion Week is the first time to launch a new session of the China Children's Wear Global Sourcing Fair, which aims to promote children's wear to the sea quickly on the "fast track". "At present, we have planned to establish four overseas warehouses in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia to open up foreign trade sales channels in overseas regions," said Ding Baichuan, deputy party secretary and mayor of Zhili Town.

Data shows that nearly 1000 children's wear enterprises in Zhili have opened overseas business, with exports covering 153 countries and regions. The "Children's Wear Capital of China" is making great strides towards the "Children's Wear Capital of the World".

From a small Biandan Street in the past to a modern town with an area of 25 square kilometers today, and from a rural area that only heard the local water dialect in those days to a "city of immigrants" with a population of 450000 from all over the country, Zhili Town has undergone tremendous changes in the children's clothing industry, and has experienced seven generations of changes in the children's clothing market.

Sun Ruizhe, president of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation and the China Textile Industry Federation, commented that after more than 40 years of development, children's clothing in weaving has become the most unique, complete and functional industrial system in the domestic children's clothing industry, and has formed an industrial system from children's clothing creativity, R&D design, processing and manufacturing to online and offline sales, logistics, surface and auxiliary material supply Brand operation and other industrial ecosystems with full business types, processes and categories.

The main person in charge of Wuxing District said that over the years, Zhili Town has continued to deepen the innovation and transformation of the children's clothing industry, and has built the largest children's clothing production base in China with the closest division of labor and cooperation. In 2022, the output value of children's clothing in Zhili exceeded 70 billion yuan, and the comprehensive output value of the children's clothing industry has ranked first in the country for 16 consecutive years. In particular, since the two national level pilot projects of cross-border e-commerce and market procurement trade were officially approved, the local government has innovatively built the Xiangyu cross-border e-commerce industry service platform, launched the customs supervision site of "Wuxing Zhili Port", and children's clothing has quickly stepped onto the "fast lane".

In the next step, Zhili Town will explore the establishment of a substantively operated children's clothing industry development center, coordinate and promote a package of work including industrial planning, policy formulation, market development, brand cultivation, and factor assurance, and help children's clothing enterprises develop in high quality.

At the opening ceremony, Zhu Sha, president of China Fashion Color Association, made a keynote speech titled "International Children's Wear Fashion Color Trends in Spring and Summer 2024 - China Fashion Color Association · Wuxing Zhili's World First Launch"; He Bo, director of the Textile and Leather Institute of Zhejiang Institute of Light Industrial Products Quality Inspection, shared the theme of "Standards and Quality Development Status of Children's Clothing Products".
