In order to accelerate the key core technology innovation of fiber materials and their products for emergency support and public safety, give full play to the advantages of China's advanced fiber materials based industrial chain, promote the transformation and application of research institutes, key laboratories, industry innovation centers, production enterprises and testing institutions in fiber materials related fields, and promote the research and development of high-quality emergency protection new materials in the industry, In March 2020, the national advanced functional fiber innovation center and Shenghong holding group jointly established the special fund for scientific research on fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety, and launched the application work of Shenghong · scientific research project of fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety, Focus on the research and development of key scientific research projects related to fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety.

Under the active promotion of the innovation center, after more than one year of research and development, the research and development of related projects has achieved phased results. On May 12, sponsored by national advanced functional fiber innovation center and Donghua University, and co organized by China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, Shenghong Holding Group Co., Ltd., and national advanced functional fiber Innovation Center Alliance units, the forum presented the latest research and development achievements to the public.

The national advanced functional fiber innovation center is the 13th National manufacturing innovation center approved by the Ministry of industry and information technology and the first national manufacturing innovation center in Jiangsu Province. In order to speed up the research and development of high-quality emergency protection new materials, in March 2020, the national advanced functional fiber innovation center and Shenghong Holding Group Co., Ltd. jointly established the "Shenghong · special fund for tackling key scientific research projects of fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety", The application guide of Shenghong · scientific research project of fiber materials and their products for emergency support and public safety was issued, aiming to promote the industrialization of related disciplines, key technologies and scientific and technological achievements.

The special fund is donated by Shenghong group with a total amount of 10 million yuan, which is used for scientific research projects related to emergency support and fiber materials and products for public safety. The key points include high barrier functional fiber materials such as masks and protective clothing, light and comfortable textile materials and composite materials, nano and biomedical fiber materials and products, intelligent fiber and intelligent protection materials and products; Testing and evaluation of protective fibers and products. We will carry out scientific research on the application basis, key technologies and scientific and technological achievements of fiber materials and products for emergency support and public safety.  

During the establishment of the special fund, efforts were focused on three aspects: first, to meet the needs of individual protection and medical front-line professional protection of new coronal pneumonia, SARS, influenza and other epidemics, research and development of barrier and comfort functional fibers and their preparation technology, so as to improve the technical level of protective fibers and products that can be reused in one, multiple and classified occasions; Second, in order to meet the requirements of high-level biochemical protection and biomedical applications, a series of wearable intelligent textile products and application systems are constructed, which are oriented to micro nano particles, aerosols and biological viruses with high precision filtration and interception, high pollution resistance and high barrier biochemical protection materials, disposable degradable isolation clothing, operating clothes and protective clothing, protection characteristics and human health monitoring; Third, according to the characteristics of different professional protection fields, carry out research on the detection and evaluation of protective fibers and products.

Helping the industry to make up for the "short board"  

Since the publication of the project application guide, a total of 109 projects have been received from domestic textile industry chain enterprises, scientific research institutions and universities in less than one month. According to the project evaluation method, 31 scientific research projects were supported, including 6 mask projects, 14 advanced functional fiber and products projects for protection, 10 innovative fiber and product projects for protection, and 1 testing and evaluation project for protective fibers and products.  

The 31 selected projects cover three aspects: basic research, achievement transformation and application breakthrough. They have conquered a number of key technologies of protective products, enhanced the international competitiveness of textile industry in multiple dimensions, and made contributions to emergency protection at home and abroad.  

After more than one year's unremitting efforts, with the support of the special fund and the technology promotion of the innovation center, a number of enterprises and universities have gathered a series of achievements in the textile industry chain, mainly involving high barrier functional fiber materials such as masks and protective clothing urgently needed for epidemic prevention and isolation, light and comfortable textile materials and composite materials, nano and biomedical fiber materials and products The detection and evaluation of intelligent fibers and intelligent protective materials and products, and protective fibers and products have achieved breakthroughs in basic research, achievement conversion and application, and a number of new materials and processes have been industrialized.  

For example, the team of Zhu Meifang, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, has broken through the dependence of medical protective materials on high melt index polypropylene and the key technology of "neck sticking" by using instantaneous pressure relief spinning technology, which can be applied to protective textiles such as masks and protective clothing; The team of Zhejiang University of technology has achieved the balance of high efficiency and low resistance by preparing PTFE nanofiber membrane and spunbonded filament soft support processing, and realized the industrialization of repeatable masks; Jiahai new materials team independently developed nozzle differentiation technology and insulation technology, overcome the problem of high-voltage electric field interference between multiple nozzles, and realized the industrialization of high-pressure protection and high permeability and moisture permeability nanofiber membrane; By using the technology of preparation and functional modification of chitosan based biodegradable medical nanofibers, hasmore team has realized the industrial production of marine biodegradable chitosan materials at the scale of 1000 tons and the large-scale production of multifunctional protective masks and protective clothing; The team of Beijing University of chemical technology adopted "zero solvent" melt differential electrospinning technology to prepare fiber membrane and mask with polylactic acid as raw material, realizing the whole process green manufacturing; Jiangnan University team built a non-interference "wear" type monitoring clothing and 12 lead ECG monitoring clothing and diagnosis system based on multiple physical signs information, and used the cardiopulmonary coupling technology to monitor the population diseases with major epidemic situation; Dalian Ruiguang team developed composite high-strength protective nonwovens, which were commended by the State Council for their outstanding contributions in the material support for epidemic prevention and control. The Institute of textile industry standardization has established and improved the performance evaluation standard of repeatable medical protective fabrics; Effect of Shandong kuanyuan on new bio based activated carbon fiber Research on key technology of conforming material products; The formation, structure and properties of flash spun UHMWPE nanofibers were studied in Tianjin University of technology.  

At present, these 31 achievements have successfully applied for a number of patents, articles and standards, including 22 patents, 3 articles, 4 standards and 27 finished product test reports.

The guidelines focus on the detection and evaluation of high barrier, antibacterial and antibacterial functional fiber materials such as epidemic prevention, medical and health protection, intelligent fiber and its protective materials, functional individual protective fiber materials and products with high flame retardant, anti droplet, anti-static, anti ultraviolet and other functional personal protective fiber materials and products in various application fields, and the detection and evaluation of protective fibers and products. According to the guidelines, the innovation center will solicit relevant projects, organize experts to select the best projects, promote the implementation of projects, and conduct comprehensive evaluation and acceptance of scientific research projects.
