During The Period Of Double 11, Beijing Express Is Expected To Handle 300 Million Pieces

On November 15, the Internet media learned from Beijing post administration that from November 1 to 12, Beijing handled 240 million express mails, with an average daily processing of 20 million, an increase of 50.7% over the same period last year. From November 11 to November 16, Beijing's major brand enterprises are expected to process 140 million Express items in total, and 300 million Express items are expected to be handled during the double 11 period.

It is reported that in order to ensure the stable operation of the postal and express service network, Beijing has allocated 219000 square meters of temporary distribution and processing sites, 5135 temporary delivery personnel and 1408 connecting vehicles. 18000 sets of intelligent express cabinets and 740 terminal joint distribution service stations in Beijing have been put into use.

According to the data, in the first three quarters of this year, Beijing's express business volume was 1.74 billion, an increase of 9% year-on-year; the delivery volume was 2.21 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 9.4%; and the per capita express delivery volume was 106, which was 2.3 times of the national average level.

Since the double 11, express business across the country has broken records. According to the data from the safety supervision system of the State Post Office, the express business volume of Zhejiang Province reached 141 million pieces on November 11, accounting for 21% of the total business volume of the whole country on that day, three times of the daily business volume.

In addition, since November, affected by e-commerce promotion activities, the express business volume in Guangdong Province has reached a peak. According to the data, from November 1 to November 11, Guangdong Postal and express enterprises handled 1.384 billion Express items.

On the day of double 11, Guangdong Province's delivery enterprises handled 182 million Mail Express items, up 20.5% year-on-year, of which 142 million were received, up 15.5% year-on-year, and 40 million were delivered, up 42.9% year-on-year, setting a new record.
