Before Indonesia (2019), in September 18th, it launched a survey on the defensive measures of imported fabrics (Fabrics). The products range from 5 categories, namely cotton, long staple cloth, short staple cloth, special cloth, knitted fabric and so on.

In November 5th last year, Indonesia informed the World Trade Organization (WTO) that serious damage to the domestic industry was caused by the increase in imports. The provisional defence measures of 11535 rupiah and 32134 rupiah per kilogram per kilogram of the products were put into operation for a period of 200 days.

The Indonesian Defense Policy Committee (KPPI) held a public hearing in February 13th (2020). The representative office of the Indonesian economic group attended the public hearing to express our position. The following are the following: Indonesia is the world's eighth largest exporter of garments, 6 of which needs to rely on imports, and more international brands are designated to use our high-quality cloth to make functional clothing. Based on the Indonesian garment factories and consumers' interests, KPPI can terminate the investigation. If KPPI decides to continue the investigation, because the knitted fabrics and woven fabrics are not of the same kind or competitive, the two cloth product manufacturing industry is a different industry. We suggest that KPPI should conduct an analysis of the "woven fabric" and "knitted fabric" industry respectively in the production damage investigation. The other units and interested parties speak in detail as annex.
