Google Instant Camera Translation Function Update 88 Languages Can Be Translated

In August 7th, Google translation upgraded the function of instant camera translation in terms of number of languages, automatic detection language, accuracy of translation, and friendly interface.

The media learned that the new version of the list of languages has not only added 60 new languages, including Mongolian, Greek, Malay, Vietnamese, Arabic, Thai, and so on, but is no longer confined to translating only the texts of different countries into English, but can choose any two translation from 88 source languages into 100 different languages.

At the same time, there is a new improvement in instant camera translation: it can automatically detect the language in front of users. It is learnt that after the user detects the "detection language" as the source language, Google translation automatically identifies the target text and translates it.

In addition, in the "instant camera translation" function, the neural network Machine Translation technology is built for the first time, which makes the translation result more accurate. According to Google, error rate is reduced by 55%-85% in language translation test.

It is understood that users can also download the language package that supports the Machine Translation technology of neural network, and use this function without network.

Not only that, Google translation also designed a new interface for instant camera translation, making the operation mode more intuitive. At the same time, through the system repair and upgrade, the flicker phenomenon of the translated version is reduced, and the translated text is more stable.
