According to the world clothing and shoe net, along with the trend of aging population and low birth rate, the most troublesome problem for Japanese SMEs is: talent is hard to find!

This phenomenon is particularly evident in the catering industry, where shopkeepers often delay their opening hours due to lack of manpower.

Not only the service industry,

manufacturing industry

Even more so.

The manufacturing industry has been changing to shorten the working hours, but there is still a shortage of people. The companies that choose to close are increasing.

But in such a great environment, Eastern Osaka

Iwasaki has a completely different situation: young people who graduated from professional schools have sent resumes and many men.

Adachi Jungmin, President of Iwasaki, said: "this year, there are 13 people enrolled in the spring recruitment scheme, but the final failure rate is 70%."

It is reported that more than 50 people have submitted their resumes to the company.

It is a little surprising that the sewing factory is so popular with young people.

Generally speaking, the staff of sewing factories are mainly women who work part-time.

After careful understanding, Iwasaki employees are either college diplomas or graduated from specialized colleges, and will not enroll in ordinary high school graduates.

In addition, the company recruitment process includes a 3 day and two night entry test (pportation and accommodation fees at their own expense).

Iwasaki salaries are generally high. Why do so many people take the entrance examination? New recruits say, "I didn't expect to be admitted, happy and unexpected."

The reason for Iwasaki's popularity is that there are vocational training schools within the company, and the employees' dormitories are near the company's factories.

That is to say, entering the company is equivalent to taking salary while studying with western style tailor, but also living in a cheap dormitory, preparing for the national certificate examination.

Among the staff of Iwasaki, there are certificate holders of first and two costume designers, Western-style technicians, and even others.

In these national examinations known as "high difficulty", the passing rate of Iwasaki employees is close to 100%.

(Note: the Japanese vocational training law stipulates that 1 or 2 level technical titles are awarded to people who have passed the national, prefectural or related examinations.

)

On the job training Iwasaki's main business is sewing clothes for high-end women's clothing brands.

As we all know, the more high-end brands, the more stringent and meticulous requirements for sewing.

The clothing processed by the company includes a dress of 8.3 yen (RMB 5150 yuan) and a 140 thousand yuan (8690 yuan) skirt.

The first is on-the-job training (OJT).

In the factory, there are 150 machines specially made in the US and Japan, which can carry out nearly a thousand sewing methods.

Employees will use these machines separately and experience various sewing methods to improve their abilities.

For sewing technology, it is necessary to use high-grade fabrics, such as 3 million yen / meter cashmere.

When the cashmere is pressed, it is easy to leave stains when the steam volume is not well controlled. Silk is also a kind of fabric which is difficult to handle. The soft texture makes it easy to wrinkle.

Iwasaki employees will use the leftover bits and pieces of the factory for repetitive exercises.

Besides, the top floor of the factory also provides a classroom for further studies.

This school is an internal vocational training school identified by the Osaka municipal government. It has 3 classes once a week, two times after work.

The lecture time is 400 hours a year.

The company has 2 female hostels and 1 male dormitories, of which 100 apartments are equipped with separate bathrooms, bathrooms and cold and warm equipment.

Economical commuting time can be used for learning.

During the working hours, the old staff will also give technical guidance to new employees.

The whole company has formed a perfect learning system.

Founded in 1947, Iwasaki Yasu, chairman of the board of directors of Iwasaki, said: "talent is the key to the textile industry. We are racking our brains to ensure talents."

In 1970, in order to train the technical ability of the staff, the company opened the "Yanqi high cut vocational training school" approved by the government of Osaka. About 50 of the company's 90 employees participated in the training school.

The company also recruited experienced artisans, famous special skills technicians, vocational training instructors and other experienced professionals.

After 5~10 years of learning from these predecessors, some employees left Iwasaki to enter other companies, becoming the backbone of the Japanese sewing industry.

Up to now, Iwasaki has trained nearly 1000 students, many of whom have created their own brands and are working overseas.

Iwasaki Yasu said: "they are guiding work in factories across the country, and I am very happy to teach our technology to our counterparts across the country."

Another feature of Iwasaki is that there are no salesmen, and all orders are completed by fax.

Iwasaki Yasu said: "with the technology recognized by the industry, there is no need to worry about business capability.

For high-end clothing, there are talented people who can do that.

Before we make clothes, we must cultivate talents.
