Vietnam'S Footwear Exports Increased By 8.8% In The First Half Of This Year

According to statistics from the General Administration of statistics, Vietnam's exports amounted to about $14 billion 800 million in June (2016), an increase of 3% over the previous month (5), and a growth of 4.4% over the same period (2015).

In the first half of this year, the export volume increased by 17 billion 100 million US dollars, including electronic products and parts, increased by 16.7%, textile products 10 billion 700 million US dollars, an increase of 5.1%, electronic products, computers and parts 7 billion 900 million US dollars, an increase of 7.1%, footwear 6 billion 300 million US dollars, an increase of 8.8%.

However, the export volume of some products decreased, including rice 1 billion 300 million US dollars, 2.7% reduction, crude oil 1 billion 100 million US dollars, 46.6% reduction, iron and steel 832 million US dollars, 5.2% reduction, rubber 530 million US dollars, and 12.3% reduction.

Regarding the export market, the United States is still the largest export market for Vietnam in the first half of this year, with an export volume of US $17 billion 700 million, an increase of 12.8%, followed by the European Union, an export amount of US $16 billion 300 million, an increase of 9.8%, China's 9 billion 200 million US dollars, an increase of 14.3%, a $5 billion 100 million increase in Korea, an increase of 39%, an export of 8 billion 200 million dollars to the ASEAN, a decrease of 12.6%, and an increase in Japan's 6 billion 600 million dollars.
