PTA National Standard Is Officially Released To Improve The Overall Quality Of PTA Produced In China.

The State Administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine and the National Standardization Management Committee jointly issued the national standard Notice No. eighth in 2016. It was officially promulgated by the 5 standards of the PTA product standards drafted by the Yangtze Petrochemical Industries Co quality inspection center and the PTA particle size distribution. It will be implemented in January 1, 2017, thus ending the history of no unified national standard of PTA in the country, providing a "ruler" for the unification of the domestic PTA product quality standards, so as to promote the industry to further standardize the track and improve the overall quality of China's PTA production.

The 450 thousand ton / year PTA production plant, which was put into operation in 1989, was once the largest in China, and once accounted for more than 90% of the total domestic PTA market. The product quality was praised by users as "the best in the world and the best in Asia". It was once rated as a famous brand product in China and a user satisfaction product in the whole country.

The listing price of Yangzi Petrochemical PTA is regarded as the vane of the domestic market.

After pformation, Yangzi Petrochemical has 1 million 50 thousand tons / year design capacity, and has been identified as an exclusive supplier by some users. It is the first product of Yangzi Petrochemical to implement ISO9000 quality management system.

At the same time, relying on industrial equipment, the company's Research Institute and chemical plant successfully developed PTA complete technology, and carried out the 2 PTA with its own technology.

However, for a long time, there is no uniform national standard in China. Most enterprises organize their production with their own standards, which has affected the standardized management of the market. Especially in recent years, private enterprises have invested heavily in PTA.

Production capacity exceeds 50 million tons, and China has become a major producer of PTA products.

The national standard commission commissioned the Yangzi Petrochemical to draft the PTA national standard. The purpose is to unify the domestic market product standards, solve the difficult problems that the industry standard has been difficult to carry out for a long time, standardize product quality management and improve product quality.

Since its acceptance, Yangzi Petrochemical has formed a standard drafting expert group. It has conducted extensive research and reference to foreign standards, and has added new elements such as PTA acid value according to the needs of domestic users. It has ensured the advanced nature and practicability of the standards. After that, the standard drafting Symposium attended by people including industry experts, state-owned enterprises and private enterprises has been convened, and many opinions have been absorbed. A draft standard has been formed and reported to the National Standard Committee.

The drafting of product standards by Sinopec companies shows that Sinopec's right to speak in the industry has not been weakened due to a small proportion of capacity, which is a reflection of the soft power of enterprises.

The National Standard Committee has passed the demonstration and verification. In June 14th, it was jointly announced by the AQSIQ and the National Standards Committee. The unified national standard of PTA was officially promulgated, and it was formally implemented in January 1, 2017.
