The output of long staple cotton is in contradiction with domestic demand, and the total supply is at least 115 thousand tons (output 100 thousand tons +2014/15 corps and local long staple cotton stock), but the demand is less than 80 thousand tons.

In addition, grain and cotton prices were not outstanding in 2015. In southern Xinjiang, under the irrigating conditions, many cotton areas had little room to choose from planting cotton.
