The City Consumers Association has conducted a comparative experiment on some trousers products sold in Beijing shopping malls, and found that there are quality problems in H&M, FOREVER21 and other fast fashion brands.

Beijing Consumers Association said that the two brands that appeared quality problems in the comparative test were all fast fashion brands. Because the production and marketing cycle was much faster than the ordinary brands, the quality control of such brands still needs to be improved.

It is understood that the sample of the comparative test was purchased by the Beijing Consumers Association staff as an ordinary consumer from the Beijing department store, APM mall, Xidan Joy City, Yansha outlets store, Guotai department store and some brand exclusive stores. Among them, 30 samples of jeans and 30 samples of casual pants, the purchase price ranging from 149-1990 yuan, the price mainly concentrated in 500-1500 yuan.

Many well-known fast fashion brands are familiar with the quality problems.

G-STAR RAW jeans are not marked with any Chinese information; the samples of H&M brand jeans are not resistant to dry rubbing fastness; the pH value of FOREVER21 jeans samples exceeds the national standard requirements; and the fiber content indexes of individual samples are flawed.

Public information shows that clothes with unqualified color fastness are easily stained if mixed with other clothes.

In addition, in the process of fabric dyeing, due to the short time, the situation of fading, staining, stitching and dyeing will emerge.
