Japan Approves The Adoption Of The New "Textile Nursing Labelling Symbol"

The main function of clothing care labels is to mark the washing methods of fabric components: dry cleaning, machine washing, hand washing, bleaching and drying.

And the newly revised nursing labeling standard in Japan is basically consistent with China's adoption of labelling symbols.

The Office approved the adoption of the new fiber textile labeling standard JIS L 0001:2014, which will replace the existing textile care label standard JIS L 0217 in December 1, 2016.

The new standard stipulates that the types of textile care symbols have increased from 22 to 41. They are classified into 7 labels, namely, washing, bleaching, turning drying, natural drying, ironing, dry cleaning and wet cleaning. They replace the original 6 types of labelling symbols: washing, bleaching, ironing, dry cleaning, drying and drying.

Also known as the water mark or wash mark, the main function is to mark the washing methods of fabric ingredients: dry cleaning, machine washing, hand washing, bleaching and drying methods.

It is reported that the standard adopted in our textile label is "GB/T 8685-2008", which is formulated according to ISO 3758:2005. Therefore, the newly revised nursing label standard in Japan is basically the same as that in China.
