Known as "the production base of Chinese women's shoes", the more than 6000 shoe making enterprises in Huidong County of Guangdong are forging ahead into the field of e-commerce, exploring the way of successful pformation.
After more than 30 years of development, the footwear industry in Huidong has evolved from the supply of raw materials to the sale of shoes and the development of footwear industry, which is dominated by fashionable women's shoes. In 2006, it was rated as the "Chinese women's shoes production base" by the state in 2006. At present, there are 6380 shoe enterprises, 2013 pairs of shoes and 900 million yuan in output value.

In the context of the depressed external economy and the shrinking export orders, Huidong's footwear industry is facing a severe winter.
In order to survive, shoe companies have set up online stores, using e-commerce to expand domestic sales channels.
According to the statistics of Huidong electricity supplier Association, as of now, there are more than 5000 women's shoe shops and more than 40 Tmall stores in Huidong.
Among them, Huidong County Daling town Tianqi Jinggong shoe factory has spent 2 years, accounting for more than 50% of total sales, and the shoe companies are in Taobao net.

In order to help shoe manufacturers expand the international market, the local government actively organized footwear enterprises to participate in various exhibitions. In this year's Italy, Spain and South Africa shoe enterprises exhibition, 2 local shoe companies signed 700 thousand pairs of shoes, and the turnover reached 6 million dollars.
On the 5 day, Wang Jianxin, vice chairman of the China Leather Association, who came to attend the press conference of the seventh China footwear Culture Festival in Huidong, China, talked about the pformation and upgrading of Huidong footwear enterprises. Huidong footwear enterprises should work hard in innovative R & D and marketing, adjust and optimize the industrial structure, introduce new processes and new ideas, and pform the mode of trade growth so as to pform the export of footwear products from a quantity oriented to a quality, brand and benefit oriented road.
Yang Xia, Secretary General of Guangdong Footwear Manufacturers Association, believes that Huidong should further strengthen international exchanges and integrate into the value chain of international footwear industry, and promote the development of regional industrial clusters and the construction of new environmental protection and energy-saving production zones.
She wants local shoe companies to optimize marketing channels and ways to reduce export dependence.
According to the briefing, the seventh shoe culture festival will be held in Huidong International Exhibition Center in December 28th.
