Carven Brand Focuses On Asia With Growth Potential.

The French fashion brand Carven, founded in 1944 by Carmen de Tommaso, joined the design director as Guillaume Henry in 2009 and was reunited. In the fiscal year ending August 2012, Carven earned 22 million 800 thousand euros, an increase of 50% over the same period last year.


In order to maintain the rapid growth of business, Carven decided to give priority to the establishment of its retail network, with emphasis on Asia with the potential for growth.


Carven's cooperative agent in Asia is Blue Bell Group Blue Bell group. This year, Blue Bell will bring Carven to mainland China. In May, the first flagship store opened in Shanghai, and entered Beijing in autumn and winter. It will return to Shanghai to open second stores next year. As for Hongkong, Carven has 3 branches in Harbour City, landmark Plaza and Wan Chai Yuet street.


The first Japanese Carven visited Tokyo on April. In the Middle East, the number of stores in the department stores will also increase.


The biggest market of Carven is still the focus of brand development in France. The brand opens a new flagship store on the left bank of Paris during the fashion week. The store has an area of 1300 square feet, two times larger than the old store opened in 2011. Men's independent stores are also scheduled to open this summer, bringing the total number of stores in Paris (independent stores and department store shops) to 6.


In the second big market, the retail network in the United States is also spreading in an orderly way. The first store in New York will open this year, and the plan to enter the high-end department store Bergdorf Goodman and Saks FifthAvenue is also in the negotiation process. Carven and its parent company Soci e t e B e Ranger CEO Henri Sebaoun hope to increase the sale point of the brand from 100 to 250 to 300 in the United States, and plan to open 15 independent stores in the next 5 years.


The online store operated by Carven has already sold online brand clothing for men's and women's wear and accessories, but only accepts orders from Europe and Japan. Henri Sebaoun expects online stores to make profits in 24 months.


With the above retail outlets coming into operation, Carven is expected to grow by 30% in 2013.
