Air permeability

A good one.

Outdoor garment fabrics

Not only to prevent rain, but also to breathe.

Its permeability is determined by the pore structure of the membrane, allowing gaseous water molecules to escape and prevent liquid water molecules from entering.

Air permeability is the ability of air to pass through the fabric.

Under the prescribed test area, pressure drop and time conditions, the airflow is expressed vertically through the rate of the specimen.

The unit is mm/s or m/s.

The greater the value, the better the permeability.

Gb/t5453 – 1997 the recommended area of the test for the permeability of textile fabrics is 20cm2. 5cm2, 50cm2 or 100cm2 can also be used. The fabric pressure drop is 100Pa, industrial fabric 200Pa, if the above pressure drop is not or is not applicable, 50pA or 200Pa can be selected after consultation by all parties concerned.

Moisture permeability

Moisture permeability

The test is suitable for evaluating the pmission capacity of water vapor under certain conditions.

Place the hygroscopic agent or water and seal the fabric sample into the sealed environment of the specified temperature and humidity. According to the quality change of the hygroscopic cup (including the sample and hygroscopic agent or water) for a certain time, the moisture permeability and the humidity of the sample are calculated.

The moisture permeability rate indicates that when the temperature and humidity conditions are kept on both sides of the sample, the water vapor quality of the sample vertically passes through the unit area. The quality of the sample is measured in grams per square meter [g/ (m2. H)] or 24 hours [g/ (m2. 24h) per square metre. The moisture permeability indicates that the two sides of the sample are kept under the prescribed temperature and humidity conditions, and the vapor quality of the unit area under the difference of unit water vapor pressure is perpendicular to the steam quality of the sample per unit area in time, in grams per square meter Pascal hour [g/ (M2. Pa. H)].

The greater the value of the two indicators, the better the moisture permeability of the fabric.

In the hygroscopic method, a desiccant is placed in the hygroscopic cup, and the distilled water is added in the vaporizing cup.

The evaporation method is divided into the positive cup method and the inverted cup method. The inverted cup method is only suitable for waterproof and breathable fabrics.

The stripping process is similar to the stripping process. It can reflect the corona discharge ability of the fabric when it is electrified, and is suitable for testing the electrostatic fabric with conductive wires. However, the test results will be influenced by human factors and the position of the tested fabric in the electrostatic potential sequence.

The smaller the charge surface density, the better the antistatic performance.

The standard requires non durable antistatic fabric. The charge surface density before washing is not more than 7? C/m2; in the above mentioned standards, there are many choices for the temperature and humidity conditions of the sealing environment, so the same test method for the same specimen, if the different temperature and humidity conditions are adopted, the results will be different.

Moisture absorption and dryness

Hygroscopic and quick drying is the absorption of sweat from the body, as far as possible to the outer layer and volatilization as soon as possible, so that the body as far as possible to maintain dry performance.

The absorptive capacity of fabric, water diffusion time and suction height were used to characterize the sorption capacity of fabric to liquid sweat. The rate of moisture evaporation and moisture permeability of fabric under specified air condition were used to characterize the fabric's dry speed under the condition of liquid sweat.

This standard has made specific technical requirements for knitted and woven products which express moisture absorption and quick drying.

Fabric sample

Horizontally, when the liquid water contacts with the water surface, the liquid water will diffuse along the dipping surface of the fabric, and it will be pferred from the fabric's soaking to the permeation surface. At the same time, the diffusion of water in the fabric surface and the change of water content is a function of time.

When the sample is immersed in the test solution, the dynamic pfer status of the liquid water is measured by using the sensor which is closely contacted with the sample. A series of performance indexes are calculated to evaluate the moisture absorption, quick drying and sweat perspiration of the textiles.
