Brioni (Bly Noni) has been hit hard since the European financial crisis, even selling clothes at low prices.

PPR, a retail giant, announced that it would wholly-owned the former nobility in Paris.


According to people familiar with the matter, Paris spring group's purchase price for Brioni is about $480 million, which is basically the same as the previous forecast of 350 million euros.

The paction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012 and is now awaiting approval from regulators.


European and American consumers mentioned that the Brioni Pierce brand will be mentioned by the senior menswear men's clothing. It is popular among Hollywood stars. The former Pierce Brosnan of the movie 007 and Daniel Craig are all loyal fans of this brand.

The price of clothing is usually between $4200-7500, which is twice the price of GUCCI (Gucci) men's clothing.

Its premium customization price is about $12000.


In 2010, the Brioni brand celebrated its 65 year birthday, and its brand sales amounted to about $225 million this year.

A person close to Brioni revealed that it produces nearly 50 thousand men's suits every year.

A domestic brand expert has recently said that in the next 5 years, the amount of luxury goods purchased by men worldwide will exceed that of women.

Paris spring CEO Pinault said in an interview that the number of luxury goods purchased by men is expected to increase by 9%-10% while that of women will only increase by 7%-8%.


Prior to this, due to the spread of the European financial crisis, resulting in a sharp decline in Brioni performance, in May of this year, Brioni announced the end of the business in women's clothing, focusing on men's clothing design and production, the main attacking men's wear market.

At present, the sales of Brioni focus on the European and American markets. The relevant data show that its sales in Europe and the United States account for 60% of the total sales.

Brioni entered China in 2009, but so far, its number of shops has not exceeded 10.

The analysis pointed out that the neglect of Asia, especially the Chinese market, made it impossible to find Noah's Ark in the late financial crisis.


On the contrary, the world's top luxury brands have expanded rapidly in China in the past two years.

In 2005, Hermes has only 5 stores in China, and it has opened to 20 in 2011, an increase of 3 times.
