The TRSA is pleased that the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has acknowledged the efforts made by the textile rental industry (TRS) to reduce the use of nonylphenol polyether oxide (NPE).

The EPA announced on Wednesday that the EPA is confident that the detergent is being eliminated automatically, indicating that the leasing industry has made substantial commitments in protecting natural resources.

David Potack, chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of the leasing industry association, said that the leasing industry has been working hard to improve the quality of the environment and got the understanding of the EPA.

"The essence of our business is to use water, energy and chemicals wisely to provide clean textiles for us industry," he said.

Our core competencies include the recognition of the impact of detergent chemicals on our employees and communities.

Steve Owens, director of the office of chemical safety and pollution prevention of the US Environmental Protection Agency, said: "we are very pleased to see that the leasing industry has decided not to wait for the completion of regulatory actions to take steps to cancel the use of nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NPE) step by step." Steve Owen said.

The textile leasing industry is located in every town and city throughout the country.

In the industry of the United States, the textile rental industry association ensures the health and safety of the workplace and the quality of the corporate image.

The textile leasing industry involves many aspects of consumer life, such as providing clothing for work, providing hospital clothing, bedclothes for sleeping in hotels, and cleaning their shop floors.

The main products of the industry are

Work uniforms

Bed sheets and towels, walk away from mat, rag, mop and other products.

These businesses provide washing and taking delivery services on the basis of leasing.

Many reusable fabrics in the industry are substitutes for disposable paper products, reducing the amount of solid waste generated by customers.

The main users of the textile leasing industry include hospitality, health care, retail, manufacturing, and automotive aftermarket businesses.

Since 1999, the textile rental Association (TRSA) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have jointly worked on the laundry environmental management program.

The documents show that the leasing industry keeps reducing the amount of water, energy and chemicals used when washing.

TRSA is reducing its carbon footprint through more effective working procedures and using more efficient machines. They promise to use safe detergent.

Announced plans on Wednesday to improve some

Industrial chemicals

The EPA said that it will not prohibit the use of the International Plastics Exhibition in the industry. It recognizes that TRSA members handle this component safely and take the initiative to eliminate it.

Steve Erwin, assistant director of the office of chemical safety and pollution prevention of the EPD, said: "we are glad that the industry has decided not to wait for regulatory action to be completed, and to automatically take steps to phase out the use of nPes.

"

Initially, TRSA members implemented a positive effort and actually eliminated detergent containing NPE in 2015.

The recent agreement with the EPA called for the elimination of all nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) in all liquid detergent formulations by December 31, 2013, and the elimination of NPE in powder detergent formulations a year later.

Over the past 5 years, the NPE usage in the industry has decreased by about 75%, and this trend is accelerating.

Recent data from the textile leasehold Association show that 34% of the detergent sold to the industry contains NPE, and 41% of the sales to the industrial detergent containing NPE.
