In The First Half Of The Year, Beijing Wore Retail Products To Achieve Retail Sales Of 26 Billion 780 Million
Xu Kang, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, revealed that in the first half of this year, the retail sales of goods in the city reached 26 billion 780 million yuan, an increase of 13.7% over the same period last year.
According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, consumer spending on clothing in the first 6 months of this year increased by 13.9% compared with the same period last year, and the per capita consumption expenditure increased by 3% over the same period last year.
Clothing accounted for 10.84% of the per capita consumption expenditure, an increase of 0.29 percentage points over the first half of 2009.
"Even though the consumer market in Beijing has been affected by the financial crisis in recent two years, consumers still maintain a strong purchasing power for wearing products."
Xu Kang said.
Lai Yang, Secretary General of Beijing Institute of business economics, pointed out that there are three characteristics of clothing consumption in Beijing at present, that is, the high-end consumption and lifestyle fashion, as well as the rapid growth of parity fashion consumption market.
For example, warm clothing such as down clothing is no longer a purely functional product, and all major brands are introducing new products that are both fashionable and practical.
In addition, the large department store is the main place for clothing sales.
According to statistics, the sales of clothing products in large retail department stores in Beijing in 2009 exceeded 50% of the annual sales volume of the enterprises.
Cui Wei building, Yansha friendship mall, clothing sales accounted for 80% of total sales in 2009.
