From the Changzhou entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the EU has strictly restricted the use of APEO in textiles, clearly stipulates that the APEO content in textiles and clothing should not exceed 0.1%. Export enterprises should be alert to the excessive APEO of European clothing and textiles.


In order to make clothing and wool products feel better, many domestic clothing and textile production enterprises use alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether compounds (APEO) as auxiliaries in the production process, but APEO has greater biological toxicity and weaker biodegradability, which has a great impact on the human body and environment.

With the EU's stricter restrictions on the use of APEO in textiles, the inspection and quarantine departments have taken measures to conduct effective APEO sampling inspection of textile and clothing products in Europe to prevent excessive content.

At the same time, it is suggested that the export enterprises should cooperate with the relevant printing and dyeing and auxiliaries enterprises to restrict the use of APEO from the source. The printing and dyeing factories should choose environmental protection auxiliaries and sign the undertaking with the auxiliaries, and do not use textile chemicals containing APEO. APEO
