On June 5th, world environment day, China's 2010 Shanghai World Expo welcomed the WWF honor day.

As the only non-governmental environmental protection organization to attend the exhibition in World Expo this year, WWF has issued a call for "protecting the earth and having me" through the pavilion at the Joint Pavilion of international organizations.

The world natural foundation exhibition hall with a circular appearance is inspired by the "Yin Yang balance" philosophy of ancient China. This is also consistent with the global protection concept in the two areas of "protecting biodiversity" and "reducing human ecological footprint".

Entering the pavilion, along a virtual River, there are four exhibition areas: "beautiful planet", "fragile planet", "symbiosis with nature" and "my participation".

These exhibits have a common goal, that is, to guide people to understand nature, respect nature and cherish nature, and encourage visitors to start from "me" and practice the concept of low carbon and environmental protection, and deduce the theme of "protecting the earth with me".

In the center of the WWF exhibition hall, there is a "ball of life" with a diameter of 2.5 meters.

There are more than 100 species of rare aquatic organisms in the Yangtze River Valley, such as Chinese sturgeon, cochineal fish, Songjiang bass and so on.

This is the first large-scale exhibition of aquatic organisms in Yangtze River in World Expo.

On the 5 day in honor day, the World Wide Fund for nature and the State Forestry Administration jointly organized the "30th anniversary forum" to grow with the green China and the World Wide Fund for natural resources. A public environmental concert was held at every moment for the earth. Through popular music, rock and roll, ethnic groups and other diverse musical styles, the concept of energy conservation, low carbon and environmental protection was publicised to the audience.

WWF is a non-governmental environmental organization with worldwide reputation.

Since its establishment in Switzerland in 1961, it has launched activities in more than 100 countries around the world.

In 1980, WWF became the first international non-governmental organization invited by the Chinese government to carry out ecological protection work in China.

At present, WWF has project offices in nine cities in China, ranging from giant panda protection to species protection, freshwater and marine ecosystem protection and sustainable utilization, forest protection and sustainable management, climate change and energy and many other fields.
