According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the total import and export value of Shaoxing was 131.78 billion yuan, an increase of 25.4% over the same period of last year. Among them, export reached 119.88 billion yuan, an increase of 24.2%; Imports were 11.9 billion yuan, up 37.9 percent. Compared with the same period in 2019, the import and export, import and export increased by 20%, 19.9% and 21.2% respectively.

From the data, in the first half of this year, Shaoxing's import and export to the main markets achieved double-digit growth. Among them, the import and export to ASEAN, the United States, the European Union, Africa and Latin America increased by 16.1%, 22.1%, 12.2%, 22.8% and 45.9% respectively, accounting for 62.0% of the city's total import and export value. In terms of exports, exports to India and the United Arab Emirates performed well, with an increase of 65.6% and 79.6% respectively; In terms of import, Japan and the United States were the top two import source countries of Shaoxing, with import growth of 73.8% and 2.3 times respectively in the first half of the year. Over the same period, imports and exports to countries along the belt and road, RCEP members and central and Eastern European countries increased by 31.4%, 10.4% and 19% respectively.

It is worth mentioning that in the first half of this year, the textile export of Shaoxing City reached 53.99 billion yuan, an increase of 42.5%, accounting for 45% of the total export value, becoming the main driving force of export growth.
