Children's WearRopeGuide

The European Commission (EC) has released a new guide for the use of rope and cord in children's wear. It reveals some questions and answers, which help retailers correctly display and design clothing styles.

The European Union released the report on the PD CEN / TR 17376:2019, which aims to clarify the provisions and explanations of "EN 14682:2014 children's safety - child safety ropes and rope safety regulations" (EN 14682:2014 Cords and Drawstrings and) and is currently under revision.

The report helps to explain some technical aspects of garment design and manufacture, and to solve some problems raised by the apparel industry and market regulators.

In particular, it is based on information about retailers' advertising, website and visual merchandising, etc., to show consumers how to wear or make styling - but this means that the way of clothing display is incorrect and does not conform to the EN14682 standard.

"Children's clothing with high fashion and clothing styles also changed" as adults wear. The author said: "the Technical Report is designed to help all stakeholders in the rapidly changing and innovative industries."

The guide is compiled by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) to explore and solve problems in various fields of children's wear.

Why does this standard not consider the hood of a garment?

Why do fancy dress costumes and carnival costumes fall within the limits set out in EN 14682?

What is the difference between the bandage (within the scope) and the belt (outside the scope)?

Why is the braces not in the range of EN 14682?

Why are religious costumes not in the range?

Are swimsuits, bikini and shorts considered professional sportswear?

Are bags sold with ready-made clothes excluded from the scope?

Should ornaments be attached to the ends of decorative rope or functional rope?

The sleeves or clothing hem have worn edges or artificial leather cuffs considered as tassels.

Is it a permissible tube like shawl?

The elephant elephant is a tweed coat with a hat and a button type. Is the retaining ring with the buttons in the permissible range?

Is the waist width less than 3 cm wide and the belt worn through the buckle included in the consideration?

Straps (straps) have shoulder straps. Can the loosening and adjustable shoulder straps be in the permissible range?

Is it possible to use bikini with open ends and neck buttons without any open ends?

The elephant elephant is a tweed coat with a hat and a stick button. Is the clasp made of the buckled garment in the permissible safe range?

Is the scarf tied to the waist of the garment within the permissible safe range?

Does it look like the animal ear and antenna decorative cord is allowed to be placed on the hood of the clothes?

According to the European Union's Safety Gate database, the potential danger of ropes and cord is always the most concerned clothing safety issue for EU consumers.
